Curriculum

Children 3 Months to 24 Months

(Infants, Toddlers, and Twos), we implement the Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care. This curriculum is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of family child care settings, acknowledging both the joys and challenges of creating individualized, nurturing, and responsive experiences for young children.

At the Spanish Immersion Academy of Stafford, we have tailored this curriculum based on our extensive experience in teaching Spanish, ensuring that it aligns with our commitment to bilingual education. Additionally, we may incorporate other Spanish-language materials to enrich the learning experience.

Formative Assessments: To track and document each child's learning journey, we utilize Teaching Strategies Gold. This comprehensive assessment tool allows us to monitor progress over time, providing valuable insights into each child's development. We share this information with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences, fostering open communication and ensuring that parents are well-informed about their child's growth and progress.

Our approach emphasizes intentionality and responsiveness, creating a supportive environment that nurtures young learners and their families.

Children 25 Months to 60 Months (Preschool)

For children aged 24 to 60 months, we enhance our lessons with a variety of resources and curricula, as outlined below. To maintain organization, we implement monthly themes that guide our weekly lessons in alignment with seasonal and weather-related opportunities.

Handwriting Without Tears (Spanish Version): El Poder de la Imprenta.
Coquito de Oro Integrado 2020.
Spanish High Frequency Words Books.
Beginning Sounds in Spanish.
Rhyming Words in Spanish.
Alphabet Bingo in Spanish.
Alphabet Puzzles in Spanish.
Articulation and Phonology Cards in Spanish.

To keep parents informed about our curriculum, we post the weekly lesson plan on the communication board every Monday. These plans are developed with careful consideration of each child's individual needs, ensuring a tailored approach to their learning and development.
